- The highest point in Ba Na Hills (or Ba Na Nui Chua Nature Reserve) with an 1,487 meters (about 4,879 feet) above sea level: On a clear day, you can enjoy a breathtaking, expansive, 360-degree view. You can see the vast panorama extending all the way to the city of Da Nang, the surrounding mountains (or Ba Na Nui Chua Nature Reserve), and the coastline of the East Sea. Due to the altitude and microclimate, the peak is often enveloped in mist and clouds. When the clouds sit below the summit, the view is of a “sea of clouds” or a “heaven on earth” scenario, where the French Village and spiritual sites appear to float above the fog.
- Linh Chua Linh Tu Temple: this temple sits on the top of Chua Mountain. It’s dedicated to worship of the Holy Mountain Mother (Mẫu Thượng Ngàn), a major goddess in Vietnamese folk religion (specifically the belief in the Three Palaces Mother Goddesses). She is revered as the Mother Goddess of the Forests and Mountains, believed to protect the surrounding area and grant blessings of luck and peace.
- The Bell Tower which has a ground floor decorated by 18 Arhats, and upper floor furnished by a great bronze bell (still in use). The view from this spot is breath-taking, providing a panorama to French Village. It’s definitely one of the best view points in Ba Na Hills complex.

How to Get to Chua Mountain Peak

Chua Mountain Peak (also known as King Peak) is the highest point in Ba Na Hills, Da Nang Vietnam, with an elevation of 1,487 meters. It’s near Taiga cable car station, French Village, Medieval Fair,….
To see Chua Mountain Peak (King Peak), visitors need to climb many stairs from Viet Restaurant or Anh Tuyet Restaurant (a restaurant in French Village area). Before see this peak, go pass by Rain Sheltering Teahouse, Linh Phong Tower, and Linh Chua Linh Tu Temple.
Directions to Chua Mountain Peak from Golden Bridge
From the area of Golden Hands Bridge, the quickest way to Chua Mountain Peak (King Peak) is taking the cable car from the Bordeaux Station. From the bridge, climb the stairs by Starbucks and then take the escalator (or stairs) to see this station. From here, the cable car ride is 100% free of charge and 5-10 minutes long, depending on the weather conditions. From arrival station, Louvre Station, go straight exit first, and then follow the stone path on left-front side until its end (Forever Square). Next, follow the path to the left of the church (go uphill), and in the end of this path, visitors will see the stairs up to Chua Mountain Peak (King Peak).
In only a few days of the year, the cable car route from the Bordeaux Station to the Louvre Station is closed for maintenance. Visitors need to go to the Le Jardin Station near Golden Hands Bridge and then take funicular to go downhill. This ride is 100% free of charge and around 2 minutes long. From the arrival station – D’Amour Station, walk to nearby Debay Station and take the cable car to the Morin Station. After leaving the Morin Station, go downstairs to see the Forever Square. Next, follow the path to the left of the church (go uphill), and in the end of this path, visitors will see the stairs up to Chua Mountain Peak (King Peak).

Directions to Chua Mountain Peak from Other Areas
Sometimes if coming to Ba Na Hills in the midday, visitors have to go up by the cable car from the Toc Tien Station or the Champa Station. These cable car routes end at L’Indochine Station and Taiga Station respectively (in the French Village). From Taiga Station, turn right, talk a short walk to see the stairs up to Chua Mountain Peak (King Peak) (on right hand side). From L’Indochine Station, exit to see Forever Square. Next, follow the path to the left of the church (go uphill), and in the end of this path, visitors will see the stairs up to Chua Mountain Peak (King Peak).
If take the cable car from the Hoi An 2 Station (the newest route), visitors will land at the Moon Kingdom Station. From here, walk to the Lunar Castle and then Eclipse Plaza to see Lava Castle. Another way is going to the Dragon Den Station on the lowest ground of the Lunar Castle to take the Lava train to the Mystery Well Station within Arapang building. Go up to the ground, turn left, go straight until its end (Forever Square). Next, follow the path to the left of the church (go uphill), and in the end of this path, visitors will see the stairs up to Chua Mountain Peak (King Peak).
