Toc Tien Cable Car Station on Google Maps
Better to Know about Toc Tien Cable Car Station
Today, the Toc Tien Station is the departure station of the cable car route to the L’Indochine Station (within the French Village). This route is 5,771 meters long, and can carry up to 6,500 passengers per hour during stable weather conditions. It’s exactly the longest cable car line in the world at its time of construction. Each cabin will have 10-12 visitors, but less if there is no space to sit. In busy hours (like morning), small groups and families won’t have a private gondola, except those who purchased a skip-the-line pass (called Ba Na Hills wow pass). In the early morning or late afternoon till evening, it’s more peaceful, therefore the enterprise can arrange a private car for anybody.
Toc Tien Station is named after Toc Tien Waterfall, the most beautiful waterfall in Da Nang. In the beginning of the cable car ride from it, passengers can see and photograph this fall. It drops from the top of a nearly-700-meters-tall rocky cliff and then flows into the Dream Spring (Vietnamese: Suoi Mo). The spring later encounters Tuy Loan River, one of tributaries of the Han River which runs through downtown of Da Nang before merging into the sea. In Vietnamese, Toc Tien means ‘the hair of the fairy lady’ because it’s long, pretty and impressive. In the surroundings, there are forests of Ba Na Nui Chua nature reserve, one of the richest protection areas in Vietnam, where red shanked douc langurs are living.
Those who stay overnight in Mercure Hotel will need to come to the front desk within Toc Tien Station for check in. It opens until 4:30 pm.

How to Get to Toc Tien Cable Car Station at Ba Na Hills
Location of Toc Tien Station
The Toc Tien Station lies at the foot of Ba Na Mountain (Ba Na Hills), a famous theme park in Da Nang Vietnam. If staying in Da Nang or Hoi An, visitors need to have a nearly-1-hour drive to get to this place. For more information, we recommend reading How to get to Golden Bridge from Da Nang and How to get to Golden Bridge from Hoi An. A day trip is possible if staying overnight in the Intercontinental Hotel on Son Tra Peninsula, Banyan Tree Hotel in Lang Co, Hue city (should go to Da Nang or Hoi An to spend the night after visiting Ba Na Hills). Distance from cruise ports such as Da Nang (Tien Sa) Port or Chan May Port is also not too long.
Directions to Toc Tien Station for Day Visitors
After reaching Ba Na Hills, visitors need to walk into the big gate with architecture inspired by Ngo Mon Gate at the Imperial City of Hue, the former capital of Vietnam from 1802 to 1945. Next, go upstairs by walking or escalator, and at Starbucks coffee, turn left and go straight ahead (through a garden with shops). At the end of the path, turn left and follow the covered way with ceiling paintings about Hoi An’s Old Town, a Unesco world heritage site. At the end of the path (near the Hoi An Station), visitors need to take the escalator 4 times to see Toc Tien Station, one of the highest stations in Ba Na Hills.
Throughout the rainy season (September to late January) or when it’s raining, from Starbucks coffee, visitors will need to straight (instead of turning left) and then follow the covered pathway until the end. The reason is that the path through the gardens is wet and slippery in the rain. In this case, the walking distance is longer than usual. After that, take the escalator 4 times to see the Toc Tien Station.
Directions to Toc Tien Station for Mercure Hotel Guests
Those who stay overnight in Mercure Hotel of Ba Na Hills, can go to Toc Tien Station directly by car/bus because the front desk of the hotel lies within it. From the parking lot, it’s needed to climb stairs to see this station (before 4:30 pm please).
Mercure Hotel guests have a discount if buying Ba Na Hills entrance ticket (or cable car ticket). After check in, bell men will help to carry luggages to the cable car (don’t have to queue up here) and then to the room in the French Village.
By the way, to go from Toc Tien Station back to Da Nang Airport or the city, visitors need to contact the Mercure Hotel in advance. Please provide the information about the driver and his car (like name, plate number, pick up time) to let him pass the security booth and go to the station.
