Is Sun World and Ba Na Hills Same?

Golden Hands Bridge is located in an amusement park named ‘Sun World Ba Na Hills’. Sun World is an entertainment brand of the Sun Group, the owner of many theme parks across Vietnam. ‘Sun World Ba Na Hills’ is just one of them. In Da Nang, visitors also see ‘Sun World Asia Park’ (nowadays the Da Nang Downtown).

For that reason, if looking for directions to reach Ba Na Hills, ‘Sun World Ba Na Hills’ is a correct destination.

Ba Na Hills Cable Cars to Golden Hands Bridge

Taking the cable car is the only way to reach Golden Hands Bridge from the foot of Ba Na Hills. On the map, visitors will see a road leading to it. However, it’s closed due to safety reasons.

Nowadays, there are many cable car routes constructed (5 routes until 2025) to take tourists to Golden Hands Bridge. Some of these cable cars gained world records such as the longest cable car, the steepest cable car.

The fastest cable car to Golden Hands Bridge departs from the Hoi An Station. It’s 5,216 meters long, and visitors need 20-30 minutes to complete its ride. The arrival station is the Marseille Station. From here, there is only a short walk to see the bridge.

The cable car from the Suoi Mo Station that is close to the Hoi An Station, will carry visitors to the Ba Na Station. From here, to go to Golden Hands Bridge, it’s needed to take a 2-minute-long funicular ride (from D’Amour Station) to Le Jardin Station on the hilltop. After that, turn left and go straight to see Golden Hands Bridge.

If only cable car from the Toc Tien Waterfall Station or the Champa Station is available, visitors will be taken to the French Village first. The cable car from the Hoi An 2 Station carries the visitor to the Moon Kingdom Station near the Lunar Castle. From here, it’s needed to go to the Louvre Station and take the cable car again from there to see Golden Hands Bridge. Besides walking, visitors can reach the Dragon Den Station to take the funicular ride to the Mystery Well Station (inside Arapang building). From this station, go upstairs to the ground and then walk to the Louvre Station.

The Nearest City to Sun World Ba Na Hills

Golden Hands Bridge is situated in Ba Na Hills, a well-known amusement park on the top of Chua mountain (or Ba Na Nui Chua nature reserve). This park is in the administration of Da Nang city. From the city center, the distance is around 25 kilometers. Not far away, Hoi An is another popular place for tourists to stay overnight. From here, the distance to the bridge is around 45 kilometers. So, the closest city to Golden Hands Bridge is Da Nang.

How to Get from Da Nang to Sun World Ba Na Hills

Da Nang City Center to Ba Na Hills

Visitors often choose to stay in downtown Da Nang or by My Khe Beach. The distance to Sun World Ba Na Hills from these areas is around 25 and 27 kilometers respectively. So, the duration of the drive is quite similar.

From the city center of Da Nang or My Khe Beach, visitors can take a car/bus or ride the motorbike to Sun World Ba Na Hills. How to Get from Hoi An to Sun World Ba Na Hills

Hoi An is a well-known world heritage city to the south of Da Nang. Many visitors choose to stay overnight (or base) in this city because it has everything like rich history, special cuisine, cultural diversity, beaches, stunning attractions, unique experiences, great shopping, pedestrian friendly, peaceful countryside, amazing shows, etc. The distance from Hoi An to Sun World Ba Na Hills is around 45 kilometers.

From Hoi An, visitors can take a car/bus, shuttle bus or ride the motorbike to reach Sun World Ba Na Hills. Both Da Nang and Hoi An are famous tourist destinations in Vietnam. These cities are next to each other (the distance is only 30 kilometers).

About the distance to Golden Hands Bridge, Da Nang is nearer than Hoi An. Therefore, if staying in Da Nang, travelers can save time and money for the trip to the bridge. Especially, when just spending a night in the area or having a layover, going from Da Nang is the best choice.
