Going from Sapa to Golden Bridge by Flight + Car
The fastest way to get to Golden Hands Bridge from Hanoi is taking a flight to Da Nang and then have a private transfer by car/bus from Da Nang to Ba Na Hills.
A direct flight from Hanoi to Da Nang will be 1,5 hours long. There are many local airlines to buy tickets today, such as Vietnam Airlines, Bamboo Airways, Vietjet Air, Pacific Airlines, Vietravel Airlines. If want to see Golden Hands Bridge on the same day, visitors should fly in the morning and then reach the bridge right after arriving Da Nang.
In Hanoi, visitors need to go to the Noi Bai International Airport (HAN). This airport is around 30 kilometers away from Hanoi city center or Hanoi old quarters. To get to it, both public transportation and private transfers are possible. If going by private car/bus, the drive is 45-60 minutes, depending on the traffic.
Today, the Noi Bai International Airport has two terminals: Terminal 2 (T2) for flights to other countries and Terminal 1 (T1) for flights inside Vietnam. To fly to Da Nang, it’s needed to come to Terminal 1. Passengers are advised to be in the airport at least 2 hours before departure, so should leave Hanoi 3-3,5 hours earlier. In addition, Vietnam Airlines, Vietjet Air or Bamboo Airways currently accept online check in (24 hours before) and E-boarding pass at Noi Bai International Airport.
In the Da Nang International Airport (DAD), visitors will land at the Terminal 1 (Domestic terminal). Here, after baggage claim, just walk outside to see the driver (or the guide if book a tour) who often holds a sign showing passenger’s names. Taking a random taxi is okay but quite expensive. Going from Sapa to Golden Bridge by Train + Car
Visitors can take the train from Hanoi to Da Nang because both of these cities are on the Vietnam north-south railway line. Duration of this train ride is 15-17 hours, including stopping for a short while in major stations (Phu Ly, Nam Dinh, Ninh Binh, Thanh Hoa, Vinh, Ha Tinh, Dong Hoi, Dong Ha, Hue,…). We recommend taking an overnight train, in order to arrive at Da Nang in the morning and then have time enough to reach Golden Hands Bridge in Ba Na Hills.
To buy train tickets from Hanoi to Da Nang, visitors can buy at counters in the Hanoi Railway Station or on the official website of the Vietnam Railways (https://dsvn.vn/). Because the ride is long, we recommend booking a bunk bed in an air-conditioned room. One room will have 4 beds, and the toilet is outside.
In Hanoi, visitors need to reach the Hanoi Railway Station on Le Duan Street (near the junction of Tran Hung Dao Street). The distance to this station from Hanoi Old Quarters is 1-2 kilometers. So visitors can walk, take a taxi/car/bus, or use public transportation to get there.
The train ride from Hanoi to Da Nang brings a special experience. Visitors will see scenic landscapes and everyday life of local people along the track. If take a flight, these slices of Vietnam are missed. Between Hue and Da Nang, the train goes along the coastline of Hai Van Pass which has wild sandy beaches, lush forests, sheer rocky cliffs, and blue sea, offering a stunning journey.

Going from Sapa to Golden Bridge by Bus + Car
The distance from Hanoi to Da Nang is around 765 kilometers. If getting a bus, it takes visitors about 12 hours. In Vietnam, local visitors often go on an overnight bus (sleeper bus), in order to reach Da Nang in the morning.
In Hanoi, there are many buses going to Da Nang, including both local bus lines and tourist buses. We recommend buying tickets from tourist buses with pick up points within Hanoi city center. By that, visitors can walk, take a taxi/car, or even use public transport to get there. Ticket prices are often inexpensive. There is no extra charge for luggage.
In Da Nang, the bus often comes to the Da Nang Central Bus Station on Ton Duc Thang Street. The distance to Ba Na Hills is around 25 kilometers.
